I am a frequently invited speaker to deliver keynote addresses, participate in panel discussions, and give talks at conferences, workshops, and luncheon events. For industry leaders, central banks, policymakers and academic audiences, I address topics centering on the European economy and European financial system, including the importance of banks vs. capital markets in supporting economic growth, monetary policy decisions of the European Central Bank and their implications, and financial stability and crises. In my most recent talks, I have focused on the impact of COVID on banks, firms, and households.

Over the years, my presentations have been delivered to audiences at the European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund, European Parliament, and European Commission, and I’ve been requested to speak throughout Europe, as well as Brazil, Chile, China, India, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, the United States and Turkey, among others.
